Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Yeah, this guy is a catch!! But not helping my diet if he were to keep cooking for me. I'll tell him to wait til I'm in stabilization/maintenance to cook for me again. HA!

(And then meanwhile, I don't think he'll ever be satisfied with anything *I* cook, b/c it's gonna be diet food and I'm not fancy about what I make. oh well!)

I was at a new low this AM, 188.4. That's only 0.2 lbs lower than my previous all new low, but hey, it's a new low! I haven't had a #2 since Saturday, so I know that once that moves, I'll have a good shot at hitting 186+ Wednesday morning before my weigh in. I want 189 on their scales at weigh in this week.

Good day so far--I'm wearing the 14s to work and I look good. And I've had my egg whites and ww pita and skim milk and pear. I feel good!

Good luck with your weigh in, Julie!! Oh, and I didn't hear anything about snow. Just temps in the 40s, finally!

Happy Monday!

Yes, I agree, no more cooking for you! French cuisine while delish is so not on plan!

Congrats on a new low. That is fantastic. Any new low counts. I only wish my scale would break so I can justify buying a new one that doesn't round to the .5... its so annoying.

We are supposed to be in the 30's on Wednesday. So that could be why you won't be getting flurries.

It's a shame--I went to the trouble to get a down parka kind of coat this year, and it's been too warm to really wear it! I've worn it occasionally, but all unzipped and casual.

Yes, I agree with you on that one. I finally went out and bought the kids snow boots before the snow actually came and had lots to chose from, only to have the little ones feet grow at least 1/2 a size and the big one a full size. So now I have brand new boots that fit no one and never got worn.
I may see if I can return them for bigger sizes.
I was at Target this morning and they have lots to choose from.

I saw on the news that Sporting goods stores are hurting bad, because no one wants to buy cold weather gear and skiing around here is terrible since even the mountains have very little snow.

Any skiing in your neck of the woods?

There's skiing up in the Poconos (about 1.5 to 2 hours north of me), and there's a dinky mountain nearby for those who can't stand the drive. But I don't ski!

Jess,

I'm re-starting to really focus and stick to plan today as well -- been sitting at or above 155 on the scale for too long.

Way to go on fitting into those size 12's.

Yes sounds like you have found yourself quite a catch -- Hope he will not cook you too many gourmet meals though -- does he know you are on a new lifestyle eating plan?

Oh Jess, I think I'm in love! He really sounds like a great guy. And who knows, maybe he'll be able to convert a couple of dishes to a lighter recipe. You sound very happy. Good for you!

And after all of that, you're still hitting an all time low? WooHoo! That's what I love about you, you're able to enjoy yourself guilty-free, and then go right back on plan the next day. It's really become a lifestyle change for you.

Nite!

Aww, thanks, Jacqui.

Yeah, he's pretty rad. I like 'im.

***

Only ran 20 minutes today...started getting a side-stitch. So then I did a big fast walk on a high incline, and then I did 3-minute intervals at 6.6 or 6.7. Total of 75 minutes. Kept my heart rate around 140ish, average. My butt feels it now!

I had to return the bras I got at VS over the weekend, so I got some more cute panties and a credit on my card. Then I went back to NY&Co and got SIZE 12 work pants!!! Yahoo! They definitely fit fine enough--the 14s I got Friday were a little saggy in the bum, so I knew I was ready. And then I had a gift card for a department store, and despite my best efforts I couldn't find a good buttondown work shirt. So I got a little flirty skirt that'll go well at work with my knee-high boots, for $11!! Yay! That was a 14, but hey, it was 75% off, I'll take what I can get. And it looks good.

Yay!

At home now, having some tea.

G'night!

Jess, I have said it before and I'll say it again. I love reading your journal. I just get really inspired but the amount of hard work and dedication you have to this lifestyle change.

I love bargains, and I am with you on the sixe 12's I would rather a little tight than 2 big, except when you get them super cheap, then as long as it doesn't fall off.... yeah!

Button down shirts are hard to find, I have good luck at Macy's but right now they have nothing.

Anyway, congrats on your new low.

Aww, thanks Julie! I'm glad all my babble is helpful!!

I was still 188.4 this morning. I'd hoped to see 187-ish, but it's not in the cards for me. I'm thinking I'll do my weigh in on Thursday again this week. Seems to be a better fit for my schedule anyway. Working out again tonight, after I get my annual MicroFit appt. done. (My gym gives you one MicroFit per year, free, for renewing your contract. They test bodyfat, cardio health, resting heart rate, blood pressure, strength, flexibility, and....something else, can't remember.) I haven't had it done since 2002, actually, when I was not quite at my heaviest, but certainly about 80 or 90 lbs heavier than I am today. I'm interested to see what's improved. Of course, the fat calipers stuff is going to be traumatic, cuz most of my fat that I've still got is on the places they pinch: arms, belly, and thighs. But I need to know, especially because I have my own little $10 bodyfat tester at home--I want to see how it all compares.

I'm wearing the cute $11 skirt today with my boots and I look so cute!! I've gotten lots of compliments today. Yay! I feel GOOD!
