Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Thanks Marg!
I definitely expected a plateau, but I just hoped deep down that I'd somehow get around it. But nope, here it is. All those other times I got stuck for a few days, i thought that was bad, but ugh. No.
My weigh in last week was up 1.0 lb to 190+, so, I need to at least see 188+ on their scale tomorrow. This 186 I'm talkin' about is my scale. So we'll see....
Anyway, thanks for your support! I sure hope I get through the last 20 lbs in time!
Jess
Hey Jess,
What's the good word? Did you break 185?
I am stuck at 194.5 like clock work. NOt sure why though....
Trying my best!
Julie
Argh, no! I'm still at 186.6!!!
My ring was super-hard to get on my finger this morning, so it's obviously a little period-related water weight. Blech.
I'll probably see 188 at LA tonight. That's fine. As long as it's a loss from last week's gain, and hey, a loss from the previous week, too.
I plugged all my info into Sparkpeople and had it re-generate my plan for me, and I'm still totally on target with calories and exercise. However, I'm realizing that as a smaller woman, I'm more efficient and burning fewer calories for the same level of exercise. Like, an hour on the arc trainer used to burn 1000 cals, but now it burns only 750 or 800. So, I need to start making up for that difference somewhere, and I think that morning run is the trick. I calculated what a 15 minute run at my normal pace means, and it's between 200 and 250 calories. Just what I need! And 15 minutes is NOTHIN'.
So, that's where I am. Frustrated, but pluggin' away.
Jess
Ahhhh, that is right. when you are smaller its less work for your body so you burn less.
Right, that does make total sense.
I wonder if I am at a point in my weight loss where I need to up the exercise from 30 mins 3-4 days week to an hour+....
I am trying to create a habit for myself but still think it would be better if I could go to a gym to work out.
I found a new place about 15 mins from here, so I am going to visit tomorrow....
Hopefully the price is good.
Good luck tonight!
Julie
Hope the new gym is something that works for you!

Well, I lost 0.2 this week. Grrrrrrreat. I had a brand new counselor, who apparently was just trained last week. At first I was like, "wonderful" (eyeroll), but she ended up being really good. We did measurements, and I didn't like her method (mostly because it showed that I GAINED an inch on my bust and waist AND hips, and sorry, but no). But my blood pressure was pretty low (113/62), which is good. So anyway, she was really supportive, and she was like, "Jess, I can see that you're doing everything right, and I can tell how committed you are. It's a plateau, and we can try to shake it up a bit, but you're not doing anything wrong." So, we talked about me eating breakfast for dinner and vice versa, and my morning run, and spinning. Just to shake it up.
Anyway, I'm frustrated and I was near tears during my weigh in, but....*I* know I've done nothing wrong, and that if I continue to do things right, it'll be okay, and hey, I've lost 65 lbs!
*sigh*
Jess
Sorry to hear about that Jess
Jess,
I think you mentioned in an earlier post that it was TOM for you -- and your rings were tight -- so I'm sure you just have some water weight sitting around.
65 pounds is a great accomplishment and the last 18 or so will also come off, just be patient.

jess you have done great,
Thanks Jacqui. Now I have two adages of yours to remember:
1. I'm a princess.
2. Plateaus are my body's way of getting ready for good things to come.
Yay!
I decided I'm going to try a Take Off this weekend. Can't hurt to really clean stuff out and see what it does. Oranges/grapefruits, steak, eggs, and salad, here I come!
And no, my HRM is a really basic one, and it doesn't track calories. Just time and HR. I typically go by what the machine I'm using says (when I am able to plug in my own weight, not the assumed 135-lb person assumption) and average that with what Sparkpeople says. I'm definitely burning about 3000 calories a week, if not more, so that alone should mean a pound off me, right? But no.
Anyway, stayin' on the grind.
Jess
