Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Hey Jess!

Keep in mind too, there's always the added muscle that may be compensating for the fat loss.

Yeah, I hear that. It could be/probably is muscle. But still....I'm not paying $5 a week to build muscle! I'm paying it to lose weight! (ha ha) Seriously, the muscle is a good thing, but I'd rather see the scale move and just be FINISHED with this. I've come so far, I just want to be done.

Oh, and I had been doing the extra milk more or less all this time. I cut it out this past week, though, to trim calories. But after I see what Take Off does, and after trying dinner for breakfast and so forth, maybe I'll add it back in.

Great workout tonight. I did 23 minutes of rowing (that's how long it takes me to do 5000m), then 35 minutes of the arc trainer on "running through quicksand" resistance, then ran a mile, then walked 10 minutes. Eating my last dairy and carbs before a weekend of Take Off. (And whew, I spent a lot at the store today. Meat meat meat!)

Nothing going on with Mr. 6'8". We talked earlier this week and were supposed to talk later in the week to make weekend plans, but....I called, got VM, and haven't heard back from him. I'm pretty sure this is the last gasp. I'd just hoped to get one more night out of him! *wink wink*

Anyway, on to the next ones. I've got a few waiting in the wings...

Jess,

Sounds like you got a terrific work out in.

Do you track how many calories you are taking in? With all that exercise you need more than the average person.

Just make sure your calorie allotment isn't too low -- sometimes that can slow the scale too.

Hope you have a nice weekend and who know's Mr. 6' 8 still may end up calling -- if not remember what Jacqui said You are a princess and should be treated with respect.

Yeah, I track my calories in and out with Sparkpeople. They say I should eat between 1340 and 1640 a day, and I usually eat in the 1300-1400s. I should burn 3000-3500 a week, and I do, regularly. not more, not less.

So...*shrug* :)

Not sure if I'll be available for Mr. 6'8" if he calls. I hate the last minute crap!

Have a great weekend, Marg!!

Jess,

Hope you do stand your ground if he calls.

As far as calories maybe try upping it a bit --to closer to 1500/1600 -- right now sparkpeople is saying I need between 1200 and 1550 I think -- and when I was maintaining and exercising a bit more I was eating around 1800-1900 a day and still not gaining. I was quickly browsing the sparkpeople boards and one lady did mention that she was losing with eating more.

Just a thought -- anyway better go and figure out what to do for dinner for DH -- think it will be take out for him -- if it is not too late to order -- he will be home later tonight.

Hehe. I think I already messed up the "sweatin' ya" part a long time ago. But even for something casual, he's STILL not at ALL proactive, so...as much as I enjoy his company, I want him to WANT to enjoy mine enough to initiate. And now that he's not returned a call from earlier in the week, I assume 100% that it's over. Blech on him. Next!

Day 1 of Take Off today. I slept in, weighed in at 187.4. (I was 186.6 on Thursday, 188.4 yesterday.) Hit the gym and really made a concerted effort to burn 1000 calories. I did an hour on the elliptical with a bumped-up resistance (level 10 instead of level 6), and that burned 880 calories. Then I did 15 minutes on the treadmill to round out that last 120 calories. Home for some stretching and pushups. I'm tired! I've already had my first TO meal and have to get cooking to make some stuff for the rest. I'm going to guess-timate my menu below. (I'm doing the TO plan with oranges/grapefruit, dipping dressing allowed.)

Menu:
L: eggs, steak, green bell pepper w/ lite dressing, mineola tangelo (I love these)
sn: grapefruit, shrimp
D: chicken burgers, salad, orange

And probably more of the same tomorrow, but I'll post that stuff once I get to it.

Off to cook those chicken burgers and then enjoy my Saturday!

Shhhh, I don't want to scare it away, but I saw 184.6 this morning. Shhhh....

YAHOOOOOOOOOO!

Okay, so all last week, I was 186.6. I've been hovering around 186-188 since New Year's. Thursday, 186.6. Friday, 188.6. Saturday, 187.4. Today, 184.6.

I haven't tried on my ring yet, but I bet it's not so tight today. We all know it's impossible to lose or gain weight that fast unless it's water. And I knew that some of this was water, at least this past week. So, it looks like I was losing weight underneath the water, and now that the water's gone, I'm moving again. But SHHHHHH.

Day Two of Take Off going great. I slept in. Weighed in at 185.0. Then went back to bed to chill out for a bit, then weighed in again at 184.6. Hit the gym and tried to keep it on a moderate level, since I've been hitting it intensely this past week. I spent an hour on the treadmill, mixing it up between running (6.1 speed), walking fast (4.5 speed), walking with hills (4.0 speed, 7.5 incline), and running sprints (7.8 speed). Abs and pushups at home. Menu below. I hope I continue to see this downward trend once I'm back on carbs and milk tomorrow. I'm planning my menus for the breakfast/dinner reversal this week. I think I'll wait on the 15 min morning run, just cuz it's way too cold and hey, the scale seems to be moving again. We'll see.

Menu:
B: sleeping/working out, so nothing
L: steak, eggs, shrimp, cucumber, celery, grapefuit
sn: orange, chicken burger
D: more chicken burgers, salad, celery, cucumber, orange

Happy Sunday!

Jess,

Glad to see the scale cooperating for you -- do you realize that you have less than 15 lbs to go to get to you goal!

I'm sure those extra high intensity workouts combinged with good eating did the trick.

WTG.
