Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Whew, back down again today. Not back to my 184.2, but I'll take 185 today after seeing 188 yesterday!
Today is a rest day. I'm getting my hair done after work, and there isn't enough time before OR after to work out. Besides, I like having my hair look nice for the night once it's been done. I'm just getting a trim, but I'm also having my highlights and lowlights touched up. Yay!
Update on my breakfast for dinner routine: I haven't done it yet this week, mostly because I don't have dinner stuff all prepped to be eaten that early in the morning. But what I'm taking away from that week of switching stuff up is that I like a full protein first thing in the morning, and then 1/2 protein for lunch and a full protein for dinner. So, this morning, I amped up my breakfast. 2 eggs and an egg white, plus oatmeal with a little less than a TBSP of reduced fat peanut butter stirred in. THat was a GREAT breakfast, especially for such a cold morning as this one. WE'll see how my hunger levels are today.
Happy Tuesday!
Jess

Thanks Mel! I certainly do feel relieved!
Jacqui, I can't believe how much oatmeal I used to eat, either! Especially with that little bit of PB, it really is a full starch....love it!! I'm in love with my breakfast today!!!
:)
Jess
Your doing Great !!
Wren, it's so yummy, you have to try it!
I make the old fashioned oats, quick cook ones, and I cook it in the microwave with some lite salt, cinnamon, and sweetener. Maybe a teeeeeeny dollop of vanilla extract. Cook it. Then stir in your peanut butter while the oatmeal is hot. It thickens the oatmeal a little bit and lends that peanut buttery flavor to the whole bowl. Oh, I love it. And then if I feel fancy, I'll put a little reduced-calorie pancake syrup on top, just a little.
So good.
I had a funny dinner tonight, myself. I grazed for dinner, cuz I had a hair appointment and didn't want to eat dinner too early, but didn't want to have a big meal just before going. So I had popcorn as my starch. Some salad. Some rutabaga. A salmon burger. And then when I got home, some yogurt, jello, cool whip (ff), and a little splash of illicit lowfat granola. (shhh.) i'm full!
and my hair is cute!! i got rich red lowlights and caramel highlights. my previous highlights were too brassy, so we toned it down. yay!

Hey Jess,
UNBELIEVABLE gall of those two guys at the gym!! Is there no way to say, "Uhhh, excuse me, but i am working this circuit", and ask them to kindly get out of the way? There should be rules about stuff like that! I would have been very pissed, too. I can see how that could ruin an otherwise great work-out and i would not have had any patience with that either.
So the cat went back home, eh? It was surely for the best. IF you have doubts, there's usually a good reason for it, whatever the case may be. You were obviously getting "bad juju" from the situation.
Sweet that your friend gets to go & live in England for two years! Was she pretty excited about it? I would be ecstatic! I've always wanted to visit there, anyway. It would be kind of cute if she came back with a slightly British accent, don't you think?? :P ....(I picked up a NY accent FAST when i spent some time there--just slightly...and when we moved to Texas, a lot of my friends were Hispanic, & my mom could tell if i had been hanging out with them, too...lol! )
Hope she & her hubby are having a good & safe flight over!
Had a very good day, thank you, & hope you have a great day tomorrow, too!

Thanks! lol...

(I only hve a little over a year to get this weight off...54 pounds--so i better be getting on the BALL, here! I am NOT starting my 50th birthday being FAT!)
Hugs from Kimmi
Hehe, thanks Kimmi.
The thing is, the "rules" at the gym are mostly ettiquette, not RULES, though there IS a sign that instructs you to do the circuit in numerical order. OH well, not worth getting angry about. That's why I just walked away!
My friend's excited to finally be living with her husband, yeah. They met while she was doing a Master's program at a school over there about 4 years ago. They dated even when she returned home to PA, and then he got a job in South Carolina for 2 years, so they were at least a little closer. He returned to England in September for a job, and they got married in December. So now, February, they're FINALLY getting to live together as husband and wife. I dunno, *I* couldn't do it. I wouldn't want to get married and still be living with my parents! But they made it work. As far as the accent goes, she's had it since she went to school there 4 years ago. Dating a Brit kinda helps you maintain it. I'm sure it'll get worse. (It's pretty annoying.)
Anyway, have a good wednesday!
Jess
hey, jess. dh and i lived in different states for nearly a solid year. we did meet most weekends, but trust me -- it's not the best arrangement! i know couples who've made it work a LOT longer than that, though. in a way, though, it's like getting the best of both worlds -> the freedom and independence of singleness, but with the partnership and support of marriage. but i most certainly prefer *living with* my hubby! ;-) another funny thing -- dh & i managed to conceive ds during that long-distance arrangement. were we lucky or what? i thought it'd take us a long time of trying what with the infrequent visits and all, but boom, we started trying and within 6 weeks i knew ds was on the way!
excuse the big tangent there . . . hope your week's going well, jess! let me know how that soup turns out if you give it a try. it's good with a "handful" of chicken thrown in, too.
