Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.
7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.
I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)
Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

I think we have lost the insulation
butting in here....
I am always cold. I am a short little fat lady that is always cold like those skinny little girls. My mom was a big woman, always hot, my grandma, always hot... me freezing! My feet are always cold, my hands and arms are freezing. I wear a sweatshirt all the time to stay warm and I don't keep the house too cold.
I am weird I know...
Hey Jess,
Good job on the loss....and you had a good time with the fondue!
Oh, and congrats on that medium skirt!
Hehe. I used to be always hot, but now I'm turning into those always-cold women! Funny how that works.
I'm fine with my 0.6 loss, but I'd rather it be 1.6. BUt at this point, I've really started to accept that I might only get to 180, and for me, that's cool!
Happy Friday!
Hey Jess - you are 5'9 right? And you want 180 which is real close. What size are you?
I'm 5'8 and going for 170 - I hope that puts me in size 12. Whatever weight size 12 is I am stopping.
Just curious where you are on size now. Since our numbers are close?
Have a good day. Karen
Actually, I'm 6'0". (Okay, okay, 5-foot 11-and-a-half.)
I'm wearing 12s and 14s right now, and one pair of size 16 jeans that I love. I just bought a skirt in medium, which is a 10/12. My goal size is a 10, but hey, I'm pretty happy with 12 too!!
I am still shooting for 170, but 180 suits me just fine, too. If I get there, that's only 6.6 lbs away! holy *BLEEEEEEEP*!!!
:)
Jess
Wow - you are doing great. Isn't it crazy how a 12/14 fits the same as a 16 sometime.
Drives me crazy.
You are so close after a long journey!!!You must be THRILLED to really see the end of the tunnel.
Well if you are almost 6' and 180 and are doing 12 and 14 - then me at 5'8" will probably have to hit 170 to get into those 12s. (I was secretly hoping that 199 would be a 12-LOL)
(Of course not that lucky-LOL)
Well I will keep on trudging down the scale - and of course - you do the same.
take care Karen
hey Jess and Karen,
Just wanted to pop in and say that sizes vary so so much by brand. I am almost five foot 10 inches.
I have 8's that fit fine (things I bought at Nordtroms - so more expensive) and size 10's from Kohl's (that I am still struggling to get into) -- and a size ten from Eddie Bauer on the other hand that is loose -- and my Lee stretch jeans are a 7/8.
So yes the sizes are all over the place -- so in some ways it might be better to set an inches measurement for hips and waist as a goal not a size.
Just my thoughts on the crazy fashion industry. I think when I was just out of college I was a size 10 and about 140/145. now in 8's at 150.

Wow, it is 30 degrees outside right now & i am ready to strip down to nothing..hubby keeps it TOO warm in here (it's prolly about 78 degrees in here...i would prefer it about 68-70..). Summer really kicks me in the butt! I don't like winter, but i HATE summer, lol...i would gladly trade places with you..it's so much easier to put clothing on--one can only take so much off! :P...of course, the hot flashes do nothing to help me, either!
(Is that why you chose the name "freaze", lol??)
Have a great night!

Must be nice to be tall! I am five feet even, 168 pounds, & wear a size 16-18 depending on how it's made! (Of course, having huge boobs doesn't help, either...!)
Wishing i was six feet tall,

Marg, what's funny is that I work for a standards publisher, and we actually have a standard for women's sizing. It's an international standard, but the problem is that the fashion industry isn't mandated to use it. Some companies do--I've noticed that LL Bean and Lands End use it, as does Lane Bryant. But I think once you start getting into individual designers, then it varies.
Size 10 by ASTM D5585:
waist: 28
high hip: 35.5
hip: 38.5
bust: 36
Size 12 by ASTM D5585:
waist: 29.5
high hip: 37
hip: 40
bust: 37.5
Size 14 by ASTM D5585:
waist: 31
high hip: 38.5
hip: 41.5
bust: 39
By these standards, I'm a 14 up top, a 10 in the waist, and a 12 in the hip. :)
