Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Hi Jess!

So do you think you you'll stop at 180?

Ha! Not too much exciting from me today! I had my usual Saturday morning of sleeping in and hitting the gym (ran 35 minutes at 6.6 today! woo!). Met a friend who was getting a cut from my stylist for the first time, then met up with another friend and we went shopping all day! We did dinner at Ruby Tuesday, lots of salad. Then coffee at a bookstore before packing it in for the night. It's 10-something on a Saturday night and I'm at home alone. And I'm happy!

I was up to 186 this morning. Weird. I also didn't drink enough water today, so I imagine tomorrow will be even worse.

But I've been eating those bran brownies and man, they WORK!

Happy Saturday night!
Jess

Oh, wait, wait! Yeah, when I get to the end of my paid weeks (4/17/07), I'm going to take that weight, whatever it is, and maintain that. So, if it's 180, that's fine. If it's 175, that's fine. If it's 183, okay! I figure, I can always lose during stabilization and maintenance, too. My intention is to pay for a few sessions with a personal trainer once I hit maintenance and start working on muscle/strength training, so that'll change things too, maybe enough to drop into the 170's if I'm not there already by that point!

Jess,

Sounds like you had a fun day yeseterday.

You could be up due to some sodium from dinner -- restraunts use much more salt.

You must be excited that you are nearing maintenance -- you still have 9 weeks left so even at a pound a week that would put you at 177.

Ok off to make breakfast.

oooh, thanks for doing that math for me, Marg!! haha. I didn't realize it was ONLY 9 weeks left. Wow, to think that when I started, I had 41 weeks. Down to 9 already. Amazing.

Yeah, I'm guessing there was some salt in the turkey burger and the balsamic vinaigrette. I was up to 186.4 this morning--ugh. But again, I didn't get all my water yesterday. So I'm working on it today.

Good day today. I'm on track!

Red, no lites:
B: none, sleeping and working out!
L: egg whites, smoked salmon, ff cream cheese, ww pita, peppers w/ff sour cream, grapefruit
sn: 1/2 portion of yogurt, blackberries, Fiber One
D: flounder, rutabaga, peppers, lite cheese, bran brownie muffin w/ reduced-fat peanut butter
workout: all treadmill, ran a mile, then did 40 minutes of sprint intervals, walked 15 min at 4.6.

Ugh, up 1/2 lb each day over the weekend. I was 187 on my scale this morning. I was 184 last week. WTF?

I hate this.

I think my body wants me to stay here, but I know there's more to lose. I have to trick it somehow.

Grr.

Here's today's plan:
Red, no lites:
B: egg whites, red. fat PB with oatmeal, diet cran juice
sn: apple
L: tuna (1/2 P), salad, peppers, orange
sn: yogurt
D: some kind of protein, some kind of dairy, some kind of starch, and some kind of veggie.
workout: spinning (30 min), and arc trainer (hopefully, 40)

jess, maybe your body is just getting adjusted to the new "low" on the scale. it seems those last few are the hardest to take off.

have you thought about a calorie zig zag to try to "trick" your body? i know it's a pain to track and plan, but maybe it'd do the trick here.

Jess,

Sorry your scale is not playing fair.

You mentioned not getting all your water in --maybe that and trying some new foods will help -- and are you still weighing and measuring all your foods?

or try a few higher calorie choices to shock your body maybe?

Good luck you can do it.

Thanks everyone. It's great to have a place like this to come and vent, where people really understand what's going on!

Anyway, I'm considering doing another Take off this weekend. or trying the zig-zag thing (though, no offense to Jacqui, but it didn't seem to work for her? or did it?), or trying a thing my brother told me about (he's pretty up and up on fitness and stuff), or....blech. I went into Sparkpeople to recalculate stuff, just to see if I was off-track, and I'm not. In fact, they want me to eat the same and work out LESS. Like, burn fewer calories per session. So maybe it's that I should eat more? Like, work out the same, but eat at the high end of my range? And yep, still weighing and measuring.

I was just hungry tonight, even after dinner, so I'm up at my high end of my range. Obviously, I ate off plan a little to do that, but whatever. Extra yogurt and extra prunes aren't gonna kill me.

I've decided to stop making my own dressing for my lunch. That was usually my fat for the day--extra virgin olive oil, some vinegar, and some dijon--but that's 90+ cal. I can use a lite dressing (nope, not fat-free, again off plan, but it's worked for me many times before) for 60 cal and less fat.

And I've got to lay off the peanut butter. Replace those calories with a glass of milk instead. Technically, it's on plan, but too much. I think that's not helping my bloat.

And here I am, slugging down the water.

Oh well. I'll just keep going. Something will work again eventually! maybe working out too much!

Jess -- sounds like you have some good ideas -- the peanut butter is very high in calories.

For the last couple of weeks I have been doing 3 hard boiled egg whites with my breakfast, helps to keep the hungries away and low cal.

Well goodnight -- watching the dog show here w/DH.
