Just to get it started. Red plan, no lites.

7/5, joined up. 253.6 lbs.
7/10, meal plan day. 251.4 lbs.
7/12, first official weigh in. 249.6 lbs. Total loss 4 lbs.
7/19, second official weigh in. 245.8 lbs. Total loss 7.8 lbs.

I had no (official) questions, and she had absolutely nothing to say about my food journal. (Because it's all there, no cheats.)

Now, just gotta do that 39 more times!

Thanks Mel!

Pretty much, I'm thinking I'll ride out the last 6 weeks of weight loss and see what happens, and maintain whatever I get when I'm done. That should be fine. Not one person has said, "hmm, yeah, I guess you SHOULD lose a little more." Not like they would, but ya know. Most people ask if I'm at my goal and express true shock when I say I need to lose more. And since most MEN are really "No way, don't lose more!" when I say it, I'll heed their advice!!

Anyway, not a bad place to stop, this 185 area.

oh, jess, definitely if all the guys are saying you look great at your current weight --- *believe them*!!! i am glad you aren't fixated on a particular scale weight and are just going to push thru till the end. if you are in the 180s when weight loss is up, you'll be doing fantastic. you're already in a *great* place.

you might also find that after some weeks of just maintaining -- that your body is ready to move lower on the scale. just a thought. i really wasn't ready to hit the 135 range till after maintaing 145ish for many weeks. so just stay patient and enjoy that size 10 bod you've got there! you've done great work getting where you at.

Yeah, ya know, I'm settling more and more on the fact that wherever I end up in 6-7 weeks is where I'm going to maintain. And my favorite counselor has said what you've said, Mel, that even into stabilization and maintenance, I could lose the rest of what i wanted to lose intially. SO, that's cool.

BTW, here's what my aunt just wrote to me today: "jess, your ears should be burned off by now! i have shown your pictures to everyone from saturday night. you get congrats from every corner! i was just showing my friend, ronnee, the shots from saturday night and she asked who was the gorgeous girl with red hair. she was so happy for you (both
ronnee and i have always had a weight battle our adult lives). honestly jess, you are one hot looking babe!!!"

Awwwww!

I lost a pound this week. I'm about a pound away from my lowest ever weight. Weigh in was 187.4. We did measurements too, and I was surprised to learn that my bust went down another 3/4 of an inch to 38.25" and my hips went down TWO inches, to 38"! Guess what? According to my sizing charts, that's a 10! Yessiree bob! I've lost 39.5 inches total. Yikes!

Anyway, this girl is enjoying her night off from the gym. Toodles!

Hi Jess!

I thin you have the right idea about maintaining in 6 weeks.

Jess,

Congrats on all those inches lost!

Remember muscle does weigh more than fat -- and takes up a lot less room.

I'm sure in a few more weeks those size 10's will fit.

And I'm sure you are ready for maintenance too -- at a certain point it is good to have more options and that 2nd dairy is nice.

Mmm, extra dairy! Can't wait!

I'm up two darn pounds this AM from yesterday AM. I just LOVE (<--sarcasm) how salt/water can play such a role. Oh well!

I have a muscle pulling in the back of my neck/shoulder. It hurts. I'm going to work on stretching it out today. No workout tonight.

Weekend plans don't present any challenges, really. Going out with a friend tonight, to Baja Fresh for dinner and shopping afterwards. I know what I need to do there. Then out with Mr. Midwest tomorrow. My only challenge will be beer or booze, but I'll just use my starch allotment for that. Sunday, brunch with the friend who did LA for a while before quitting. Egg white omelet, here I come!

Very tired again today.

Oh, and I got my bloodwork back--my cholesterol and thyroid are fine. Okay!

Jess,

Sounds like you have a great weekend to look forward too.

What did you get at Baja Fresh?

Hope your back and shoulder are doing better and glad to hear your bloodwork was all good.

Sounds like a good weekend planned!

I was just telling Sue that I think all this wet weather in the North East is causing us to hold onto some water weight.
