Hello everyone! I'm in the middle of week 3 and I thought I better start one of these journals to keep myself in line. I tried to start one a few weeks ago and I screwed it up somehow so I'm starting over! Here's a little info on me. My name is Mary Rose, age 50. My husband and I are doing this together. We both have hit a 50 age crisis! Him more than myself. Ha! Sleep apnea, HBP, family diabetes, etc. I've had HBP for 23 years and I don't think that will change much. We had a major loss in our life 26 months ago when we lost our 20 year old son. He was in an auto accident and he died from injuries he sustained in that accident. I'd say we started the uncontrollable eating, eating out..I'm sure you know what I mean. SO..here we are. Thank God we're doing this together! It's so much easier. My goal is 54 lbs. and his 80 lbs. A NEW LIFE!
Memorial weekend was very hard on us. I did okay but it was hard! He didn't fair as well. He was the cook at our nephew's graduation party and you can only imagine how that went. He's been a snacker while he cooks from way back. He's definitely paying for it now. We weigh in tonight and he's not thinking it's going to go well. I don't think I've lost my 2 lbs but I don't think I've gained either. We'll see.
I'll be back because I've got a long way to go!!

Mary Rose,
How exciting to be expecting a new grandbaby.
Glad your hair turned out well -- After a break of not coloring my hair I just started getting it done at the hairdressers -- just try and go for natural colors and nothing too dark and I am sure it will look great.
Have a super weekend -- and yes those last 10 pds can be stubborn so just celebrate each pound down -- you'll get there!

congrats on the new baby....what fun is coming your way!---LOL
smart to have lost this weight in time cause you will be working hard loving on a new baby!!!!
LOL
Thanks to all with the good wishes of the New Grandbaby!!!
hi rosie
you can "give in" a little when on maintenance.
hi, rosie! got my fingers crossed for you that the next baby is a boy. always nice to have one of each, i'm sure. dh & i hyphenated our last names and passed that same last name on to our ds. so he will be carrying on the family name for both sides of the family. :-)
hope you have a terrific monday. what a realization that cecil now weighs less that your beginning weight. really puts things in perspective, doesn't it? my hubby's dream weight is 165 -- not much more than my starting weight!! when i saw that high number before starting lawl, that is what struck me that i needed to change! i weighed almost as much as my hubby's goal weight . . . that kicked me in the butt and woke me up!!!
