Ive been battling with absesses in my arm pit area, my groin area and my bum area very frequently for a couple of years now.
I have done research on absesses and skin conditions, and ive come across such a wide variety of information that has me confused.
I get large, unbearably painful absesses usually after shaving, folliculitis I believe the term was that I looked up. I get these incredibly large absesses which take at least 7 days to drain, and ultimately leave purple dark scars on my body. It has become very distressing to me as I have scars in places that i am very embarassed to show, especially my boyfriend. I refuse to be intimate with him in ways I wish I could, but Im so tortured by these scars and recurring absesses that Im forever embarassed.
I have dealt with the infections on my own due to embarassment seeing my doctor, as I have scars on my bum and right now one incredibly painful in the crease of my leg and bum cheek....my under arm area and I had one on my side a month back which has left a heavy scar....Im an attractive young girl and i feel that these recurring infections are going to do much more harm to me as the weeks and days go by.
Is this a common skin condition or a glandular condition? And do they have medication that one takes to prevent these from happening? I practice very good hygiene so im very concerned that this is a rare recurring condition.
