What's your biggest motivation to lose weight ?

Is it family or friends ?
Or a certain outfit you really want to wear ?
To have more energy ?
To just feel better overall ?
Or maybe you just want be able to look in the mirror and truly love the ""shape"" of the image looking back ?

What does it for you ?

Right now my biggest motivation is that I'm suppose to meet up with my old friends from grade school and from my soccer team and my old coaches.

i want to be my old size simply because i could run faster and farther (or walk, or whatever!) without getting as tired. i am 40 lbs overweight but im one of the lucky people who keeps a nice shape even with 40 lbs extra, so i dont care about it for looks. plus my SO loves my shape and is actually worried that i will lose my curves when i lose weight so im not doing it for him.
i just want to be in better shape physically

I don't want to have to spend money on medications for diseases that are usually weight-related. I also want to be able to shop anywhere.

My motivation is to fit into my clothes again and being comfortable.. I still wear the same size but the clothes are too tight on me and show my fat that I have gained in the past 2 years.. i just started the gym and am hoping to loose the weight by July..

At first my biggest motivation was the fear of gaining more weight in my 30s (which are like... 7 years from now..) and not to be in good health.

It is still my biggest motivation, but another really good motivation is the result I am getting. Even if I havent lose all I want yet I SEE the difference, and it helps to keep going.

Good Night!

For me the motivation was just getting older (I turned 30 July of last year). Since I couldn't do anything about the age part, I decided to change the lifestyle part. I was amazed at what a difference! I sleep better, have more energy and haven't missed a workout in almost a year. Overall, I lost 40 pounds and went from a size 10 (tight at times) to a size 4!!!!

I won't deny that it's a great feeling not to hate clothes shopping. Before my weight loss, I hadn't purchased jeans since my early 20's. Now just working on the maintenance part - so far holding strong since the end of December.

Have a fabulous day, Michelle

You can do it! Getting a head start younger is a really good thing. I found that good ole' metabolism definitely changed into my 20s. Also, starting out on a program is always the most difficult. I think it gets so much easier over time - now I don't even think twice before jumping on the treadmill in the morning - it has just become an automatic habit!

Best of luck, Michelle

My biggest motivation is the mirror! I want to look into it without disgust. But other motivators are my husband and clothes! I'd love to actually FEEL sexy to my husband instead of just thinking he says i do .... plus i'd love to shop for clothes and not worry about how i will look in them.
