I need to know how many days a week you guys "treat" yourself. I had ice cream once last week and chocolate dessert one day too. is that too much?

I dont think thats too bad I just wouldnt do it every week like maybe once or twice a month. I'm so scared to treat myself LOL, its sooo funny like if my friends are like lets have ice cream I wont get regular ice cream I'll get low fat frozen yougurt. I'm so scare that if I treat myself once I'll gain all the weight back, thats how badly I am obsessed with dieting LOL!!! Sad I know.

That's exactly the way I am. Scared. That's the right word. I'm scared that that one ice cream will bring back all the misery from the times when I was 'fat'.... Sad, I agree. But it works. Haven't touched any of those crapy foods for months...

when I'm being faithful to the eating program I prefer, I don't cheat at all, meaning no treats. NOW, since it's a reduced calorie, lower carb diet, that means I can budget for various things like perhaps a healthy choice fudge bar or sugar-free popsicle, but it's not above and beyond my daily allowance. Kinda like the ladies who do WW and eat salad all day because they want wine with dinner. I look at the amount of calories or carbs as a budget and find it's easier to tell people "no thank you, it's not in my budget for today" rather than "oh, I can't". Seems like I have more

Thanks guys for your opinions. I am going to try harder not to treat myself with food and maybe start buying myself something. I don't want to get use to having a hot fudge cake sundae every week. :(

Yikes, that's my problem. My husband is fit and thin/built and its only been 2 days since i had a dessert. We like to have ice cream for dessert......ALOT of ice cream. I have to start actually saying no, b/c its getting out of hand. Its only been two days and i'm starving at night....otherwise we eat healthy, no fast food, chips, etc. But we dig our ice cream and he can eat a pint and still loose weight!!!

SO i think ideally its good to have 1-2 servings of a regular size dessert a week.

My hub is french and when we're in france we have dessert every day and i actually loose weight b/c we eat so good otherwise ....Desserts are a must for him:-)

yikes, gotta control myself and accept that he can eat tons and i just can't!!

:-)
