Hi everyone,
I may or may not have posted on here before... I come in and out of a lot of boards on iVillage so I don't remember. But in case not, my name is Kristi, I'm 20, in college, and really frustrated!
I was trying an un-diet approach to weight loss... no strict calorie counts but just be sensible about what I eat, watch portion sizes, don't eat too much bad stuff... and it worked, I had gone from 159 to 156 in like 3 weeks. Slow, but steady, and pleasantly surprising.
Well, anyway, one day about 3 weeks ago, overnight (literally), my weight went from a steady 156 to 162! I was disappointed, of course, but figured maybe it was a mid-cycle hormone flux, water weight or whatever, so I put off weighing myself for a while and continued what I had been doing... in fact I probably got just a bit more strict... I completely cut out my guilty pleasure, mocha light frappuccinos from Starbucks :-P
Wel, I'm here 3 weeks later, post-menstrual cycle altogether, and I'm still at 162! I have no idea what happened to cause that sudden weight gain, but it's stayed with me, and it's driving me insane!
Does anyone know why this might have happened? I didn't change my eating habits, my activity level stayed the same, and it had been working. Once I go back to school in a couple weeks I intend to utilize the free gym, but I was hoping that weight loss would continue and give me a jump start before I started the gym.
*sigh* it seems like every time I try to lose weight, this happens.

Hi and Welcome,
I really have no clue what could have caused the jump in weight.
