I want to thank all of you for the support.

I posted here for the first time on Aug 21, 2005 and since then I have altered my eating and I have been startied walking just a little. BUT today 9/2 was the first day I gave up all junk food. Yeah like I don't even crave it. OK today I ate: Cottage cheese for , fruit, wheaties cereal dry, Some sliced ham and cheese a granola bar, a small snack box of raisens (they may have curbed my sweet tooth??) 1 cup of oatmeal lots of water and tonight before 6pm I am having homemade chilli for dinner. And lots of water all day and some selzter water in place of soda (which I also gave up). Since my first post I changed how I eat and when so now I eat about six small meals/snacks. Now maybe in the future I will have a bit of something sweet but I don't crave it and binge sweets anymore! SO I went to the Dr today and well....

I weigh 190! I lost 5 pounds! I can't believe it...I don't have a scale at home.
Now I will walk even more and I think I'm gonna do it! I know!

So excited had to share

GOOD for you tawnie! That is great sounds like your on the right track. FOr the the hardest food to give up is chips and fast food, I havent had chips in 3 monhts. rice cakes seem to help curb that a bit. If your a sweets person what about meal bars, I have been having the slim fast optima meal bars for bfast and they are pretty good. Ilove the optima snack bars too the peanut butter ones taste just like a crispy crunch bar! Keep posting any time you have questions or need support this board has been an amazing help for me.
