I haven't worked out in over a week. I've been both busy with interviews and cars and have other things on my mind, including stronger than I care to admit feelings about the hurricane. I was all ready to go on Friday when I realized that I was shelling out 75 bucks to get my acupuncture for my neck injury from a few weeks ago that was just getting worse, and that working out after that would probably negate any positive effects from the treatment! So I went home and cried as I watched the NBC concert while hubby was at the football game.

Despite all the stressful or bad stuff going on, I have been getting a lot of interviews and expect an offer from one in the next week or so (after background check and whatnot). it would be a good job and allow me to learn a LOT and get all kinds of new experience, but when I got home on Friday, I had a message from the "dream" job. I'd really like to get into working for a non-profit because I would rather get something emotional out of my job than just getting a paycheck on friday (not that money isn't important, but I need more than just money). There are several large non-profits in Seattle and I found many interesting jobs at one and applied. I was so excited to hear the message and I hope I can get thru their interview process before I have to decide on the other job because I REALLY want to work at the cancer research center, but if I don't get that offer, who knows how long it will be before I get another offer and I'd hate to turn down a 2nd-choice opportunity and then end up having to use my severence to live off of while I find another job.

My mom was telling me that she had been losing weight on her new "diet". I asked what she was doing and she said "eating half" meaning, they go out to eat for dinner a LOT and whatever she orders, she puts half in the take-away container for lunch the next day and of course, considering all the hidden calories in restaurant food, she's finding that she's quite full on half the portion AND she's got lunch the next day! So, while I hope we don't eat out as much for a while (I prefer eating at home but I've been so exhausted that I haven't wanted to cook at night), I'd like to try it at home, eat a smaller portion and put some away for lunch. I'm POSITIVE I would lose weight if I did that because I usually eat more than I need when I go out. I've gotten better over the years of not stuffing myself, but more than I need to survive for sure!

Have a GREAT workout!

Ugh is right Monica

I havent done a proper work out since.........ummm probably June? or whenever the dreaded humidity started being a DAILY thing........its no real excuse like I broke my leg or something, but I hate hate hate heat, and I couldnt imagine getting on my treadmill and getting even hotter.........I truly thought I may pass out if I did

So, that covers most the summer round here, but NOW can you believe it? Its September, now its called just plain lazy, when I do go out and about, I still Walk, and I do periodically take the stairs instead of the elevator to go UP......always down, but that doesnt help anything.....lol

My sleeping has been all over the place as usual, and

Have a good one,
