Wow, you brought up the taboo subject of diet pills...it's a billion dollar industry but it seems like nobody wants to admit to using them. I've been dieting for 3 weeks this time and there is something totally different about this attempt for me. You are welcome to read my journal on this board for more details. I'm not struggling to stick with it this time. I don't know why. I don't know if it's just my attitude or frame of mind or what, but I've also been taking diet pills, Leptoprin/Leptopril. That's that commercial on tv that says "this is for the significantly overweight, not the casual dieter, blah, blah, blah" it's like $130-150 a bottle on tv, but they have the cheaper version at Walmart, which is what I've been taking (about $38 for 3-4 weeks supply). For the last few years when I've tried to diet, I haven't gotten very far. Usually a couple days at the most. I've tried diet pills before, TrimSpa, Metabolife, Cortislim, CarbBlocker and some others, but I never stick with it. I would just blow off dieting and even blow off taking the diet pills. But there is something different this time, I have faithfully been taking the diet pills and haven't had any trouble sticking to the diet. I think it's probably more my state of mind than the pills though. And I haven't lost much weight, which is a really bummer since I've been sticking with the diet. I've only lost 6 pounds in 3 weeks, but if you read my journal I go into more detail about the how and why I might not be losing much and how things are going for me. One thing I have noticed, with all the other diet pills I've had some physical issues, like being light-headed or getting a tummy ache or just plain weird feeling which I don't have with the Leptropil. One of the worst was some multi-vitamin geared for weight loss, not even an official diet pill, but more a vitamin. That one actually scared me. After about 3 days into taking them, I had a tremedous hot flash and got really flushed (I'm only 35, so it wasn't a menopause thing). My face, chest, arms, my whole body just got hot and red and I got all woozie. I just about passed out, I thought I was having a serious health problem. I never took them again.
So, yeah I would also be interested in any information anybody has on diet pills, or any success stories.

Did you know that there is a board for diet supplements? I stumbled across it the other day. Doesn't have much activity though.
