Hi!
I'm Liz - 28 and single. I will celebrate Christmas (and Hannukah if any of my Jewish friends invite me! :)).
172/170/135
Tammy, 35 from South Dakota. Living with me: teenage daughter, boyfriend, mother, dog & cat. Christmas is a big deal for us, we're having it at our house this year with my aunts and uncles and cousins. There will be about 20-25 of us in our small little house. Wish me luck.
Gayle, don't you do Boxing Day? Do you do both Christmas and Boxing Day? What is Boxing Day? And do you say "Happy Boxing Day" or "Merry Boxing Day" or what? Or do you just say "Eh, take off, hoser" LOL
I'm Ashley~22 (I know I'm young but plump) LOL
Married to DH, Jeff~ 27 (A weight lifting nut) HAHA
We are ttc baby #1
We have 2 stupid dogs (A beagle & a toy fox terrier) ~Lord what were we thinking trying to make a beagle a house dog??)
We celebrate Christmas but for some reason the City of Cincinnati wants to do away with the word Christmas & have it replaced with Holiday! Instead of a Christmas tree it would be a Holiday tree; instead of signs saying Merry Christmas they will read Merry Holiday Season.
I know to each their own but
It's Christmas for us. Thanks for listening to my mindless chatter! :) LOL
Ashley
Ya I believe they are wanting to change everything to Holiday round here too
And its always Christmas to me, I dont think I could change that after all these years...........lol
Have a good one,
Gayle
I have to admit, living in the North I too find myself saying the "eh" thing once in awhile. At my previous job, one of our reps was from Canada and he had the "northern" dialect a little bit and every time you'd call their office, they'd have that little bit of a dialect. And I'm so impressionable that I pick up on that stuff pretty easy. Around here the biggest dialect/accent is the great low-German (sounds more like cherman) and I think good ol' Germans put the accent on the first syllable of every word. And they REALLY accent it. so you have: CHER-mans EAT-ing DUMP-lings and CHEEE-ken with KUG-ken for dessert (Germans eating dumplings and chicken with kuchen for dessert).
Guess I'm rambling.
im amber, 25, las vegas!!! everyone in my family love, love, loves christmas!
