Hi all I thought I would start this thread we can add to whenever we find/invent a new healthy dish.

here are a couple of my favorite family friendly recipes to start with

Turkey/chicken burgers makes approx 4-5 large burgers

1 lbs of ground meat( If I can't get it or find it too expensive at the store that week I just buy frozen and thaw it a bit and grind it in my food proccesor)

about 10 low fat baked crackers (whatever you like I usually use just plain or veggie ones)Crushed up in a ziploc - this is a great job for kid and a rolling pin they think it

http://www.campbellskitchen.com/SpecialtySiteRecipeDetail.aspx?specialty=pace&recipeSource=search&recipeID=23732&page=0&index=0&SearchText=%2btexas&LastIndex=false&keyword=texas

I made this tonight and it was soooooooo good and kindda healthy too. About 500 calories depending on how big your chicken breast is and how much rice you take. I had 3/4 cup rice and like 4.5 ounces of chicken and it was like 480 calories......yummmy. Not spicy at all....kindda sweet.

I made this the other night and it was sooooo good. Its called crispy BBQ chicken. http://www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=recipe&m=recipe/knet_recipe_display&recipe_id=89013

I did not make the coleslaw just the chicken. I used Sweet baby rays BBQ sauce instead and you will need more than one packet of shake n bake (about 1.5 depending on the size of your chicken) .....mmmmmmmmmm. It also took more than 20 minutes...about 30.

Its fairly low in calories all depends on the size of your chicken breasts.
