Substitute for Walking (Rochelle)

Ok, I'm trying to think of a substitute for walking or counting miles for our March challenge. For Rochelle (who's feet are not in working order at the moment!) and others who may not be able to count the miles. I was thinking swimming? Would that be doable Rochelle? Or something with arms that we could count as "steps" towards miles? Let me know what you think, I've been racking my brain!! :)

About.com has a great chart that provides a "step equivalent" for lots of different things.

Maybe Rochelle can just keep doing what she's doing, and give a number of "steps" associated with it.

No dumb question at all!! Miles include everything from walking, jogging, running, even swimming... and now with Liz's link, we can include just about everything! We'll convert all exercise to miles (and kilometers, I'll have to google that LOL) for March :) Some time on Saturday I'll do an "official" March Challenge post with all the details :)

Hey Brianne-I don't know if this will help or not but the other day while cruising around the web I saw a video series called Sit and Be Fit. It was for seated exercises. I don't know anything about it and haven't tried it out but it might be an idea for Rochelle.


Anyone can probably google it and get some info. :)
