Let us know how you are doing in April! What kind of ab work have you been doing? Have you tried anything new? Anything you really enjoy or absolutely hate?

I tried doing some really basic crunches, and they hurt my back (my back got messed up when I was 12....gymnastics accident. Having 4 kids hasn't helped any). BUT.......I did walk the equivalent of 6 miles yesterday, and I'm about to do more right now with my 7yo son. :)

How about standing up ones? Are you able to do those types. I do them a lot.

When I did my LS walk today (only 2.5 miles today), I tweaked the knee lifts a bit to get more abdominal action going. Instead of just bring my arms across my body, I rotated my upper body and bent into it a bit....that way I got the crunching movement without a lot of pain. It still hurt my back a bit, so I don't think I'll be able to do them every day, but maybe every other? :)

As long as you are fine with doing them that way, every other day for you is better. Better not to over do.

You can also, do the knee lifts standing up and alternate right hand to left knee and left and to right knee and when you feel like you want to challenge more, do right elbow to left knee and left elbow to right knee.

Only do what you can do. Good on the walks and ab work at the same time.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing. I guess I didn't explain it very well. :P
