Hi,
Weight can be very frustrating. Are you retaining water at all? Are you weighing yourself the same time each day in the same manner (nude if you've always done it nude, in a towel if always in a towel, with your shoes on if always with your shoes on), on the same scale?
If you're aware of all that and still seem to be gaining weight, I'd look into your WW points and whether it's the right point figure for you. Sometimes, my body needs a kick so I'll lower my calories for a day or two. Or I'll exercise harder for a day or two. Your body does adjust to what you're doing, so it could be that you're in a lull right now.
But yay! on loving the jogging! That's really awesome.
Yes, it happened to me when I started running on the treadmill. I truly believe it has to do with your body building muscle. Running is a tough activity on your body, but it definitely builds a lot of muscle. My thighs are larger than I'd like them to be,
Wow, I actually had this happen to me this morning. I'm following the couch to 5k training, not much of a runner but also following south beach in order to lose weight.
So last night I finished week 5, day 2, which has you walk 5 mins, run 8 mins and then repeat. When I got on the scale this morning I assumed atleast a lb lost for the week only to find I had gained 4lbs!!!!
Needless to say I felt devastated but I'm realizing that running is really building muscle that I've never had and that I'm losing it in other places.
Keep up the hard work and hopefully we'll both be running far and feeling slim!
I know how it feels to get discouraged when
