Hello Mac, and board...

Here in the land of perpetual sun, finally it is raining, the most I can hope for as a representation of winter. Born in Colorado, raised in SO CAL, moved to Colorado out of high school(home, without a doubt)lived there for 17 years, seventeen years of four seasons, then a short interlude in Oregon, and (never, say NEVER) we found ourselves much nearer to the equator than ever expected, again.

Monday's moments for snow to fall on the nearby mountains in hopes of capturing a "white Christmas" while my son is home for the holidays, also, a Colorado Native. GO Buffs!!

Good day all! Kat

Hi Kat (m)

I've never been to Colorado but one of my goals is to stay at The Stanley Hotel. Since I'm a big Stephen King fan, I've wanted to visit there ever since I saw The Shining. I'm going to drag my hubby there one of these years and visit your beautiful state.

I'm happy to report (m)

that my neck/shoulder/back problem is much better. It makes you realize how important good health is when your body is out of whack for a few weeks.

Happy Monday Everyone,

Mac

Glad to hear all is well (m)

And I know what you mean. When Matthew was 4 weeks old, I had to have an emergency appendectomy. And I was just getting around good again. I was so mad about that.. but I'm all over it and all is well once again. Thank goodness. :-)

Okay... I have a moan. (m)

It is 22 days until Christmas and I haven't even started shopping yet! I'm usually DONE by now, but with the having a baby, the removal of an appendix, hospital bills galore (from the appendix not the kid - he was born at home), we are short of money. So I'm trying to be creative without spending a lot of cash. I have several ideas, but I want to get stuff for the kiddos (my nieces and nephews). I guess I'll hit the stores running this weekend. Whee!

Oh, oh...you should...

I've been to the Stanley twice. Stayed there both times, and it has ghosts, I'm sure. Their presences is felt and well worth another story. Be sure to do it Mac.

I feel your pain (m)

I don't even have the cast iron excuses you have but I hate xmas shopping and I finally dragged myself off to Target this past weekend, determined to spend as little as possible on my nearest and dearest (the majority of the shopping is for my dh's family because he's worse than I am. He once gave someone a pair of previously owned socks for xmas). I'd love to be able to shop online, but if your spending cap is $5 per person, it won't even pay for the shipping!

btw, I'm glad you had the baby at home and the appendectomy at the hospital and not the other way round.

so glad to hear you're feeling better (m)

I meant to recommend this to you before--arnica oil is very good for muscle and joint pain (and you can get your dh to give you a serious backrub for medical reasons). You can get it at healthfood stores. Some people also take it internally and claim it helps (not the same stuff you'd rub on your muscles, a homeopathic tincture!).
