By any chance (m)

have you ever seen It Happened One Christmas? It's the made-for-tv version of It's a Wonderful Life and stars Marlo Thomas. The networks usually only show it once during the holiday season but it's a fabulous version of this classic.

Don't feel sad, four ain't bad (m)

I've always loved grilled cheese, 'specially with french bread, mmmm. Then I worked in a restaurant and learned about grilled ham and cheese, mmmm. :)

When you read books about writing, do you read ones with suggested exercises in them? And do you try the exercises?

Hope you're enjoying your weekend, Eyewrite

Some of the ones I read (m)

had exercises and I've tried a few. I did the one from Stephen King's On Writing but I didn't get selected. Of the four I read, Bird By Bird was my favorite!

I just got The Creativity Book: A Year's Worth of Inspiration and Guidance by Eric Maisel the other day. It has weekly exercises and I look forward to beginning them.

Hope you're enjoying your weekend too.

How many stories in your collection? (m)

How do you query for a short story collection? Do you include unpublished stories only? Have you had any nibbles so far?
