I see nothing wrong with that proposal. I think Bush gave too much of a tax break to the very wealthy. He could have redused they tax by a few points, not as much as he did. They made out like bandits. Likewise the people making less than 100,000 should have received a larger tax break than they did.

Seems a pretty realisic definition of "well to do", I could even see it going to $300,000 for a family.

Only the incredibly rich can choose whether or not to pay taxes, that's why it makes sense to start with them when changing the tax code.

That's $75,000.00 a year, most people that have that much money have a butt load of deductions which means they don't really pay $75,000.00. My ex-fil
