For all of you worried about oil companies and the price of gas...you might want to take a gander at members of your preferred party. I will go on record and say that I'm quite certain many Republicans do the same thing. You just won't see the same level of hypocrisy when it comes to them...

Its isn't hypocricy to criticize businesses you own stocks in, nor to try to pass laws regulating businesses you have stocks it.

It's hypocritical to look the other way when companies you invest in do something wrong, and then condem companies you con't invest in for the same practices.

Errrrrr....ok. Sure.

I GUARANTEE had this article been about Republicans...you'd have been all over it screaming how horrible they are and screeching how they are corrupt, etc.

But we know how you roll, so that's ok.

I posted an article about Republican donors and candidates being swindled by a fund raising firm that was investigated and published in the Boston Globe (fairly libby editorial policy).

Hypocrisy is when you tell a nation you will choose policies that will keep us independent of foreign oil and then start a war in which one of the major benchmarks is to have an oil law which allows corporations to buy up foreign oil contracts.

Feel free to link to a single post where I've screamed about how horrible Republicans were or screeched about how they are corrupt.

>>But we know how you roll, so that's ok.<<

And I know you make up positions for folks all the time, and never ever ever acutally support your claim by showing a link to where that person ever said anything like what you claim they said, or GUARENTEE they would say.

You have ascribed claims to me over and over again, and have yet to support a single one.

Of course. Their intentions are always pure. I forgot about that.

I don't believe ANYONE ever said their intentions are "always pure" - no one can say that about ANY politician.

No one said any group is "always pure" however, you claimed they were being hypocritical and they not only are not being hypocritical, they are attempting to put things in place which would cut into their own profits.

If there are Republicans who profit from oil companies while not making any attempt to help the consumer yet complain about Democrats doing the same....why THEN you'd have hypocricy.

As it is you were, quite simply, wrong.

If they really wanted to hit the oil companies where they hurt all Dems......in all levels (federal, state, and local would pull their investment money).
