LOL, glad I'm not voting for Nader - I don't think anyone wants a health system like Canada.

"What I don't like (AT ALL!) about McCain's plan is that he wants us to all be in charge of our own health insurance - no more health plans through employers, meaning no more group rates."

Jen, I really would be interested in some proof of this claim. Or is this just an opinion of his position?

Wrong!

"John McCain Will Reform The Tax Code To Offer More Choices Beyond Employer-Based Health Insurance Coverage. While still having the option of employer-based coverage, every family will receive a direct refundable tax credit - effectively cash - of $2,500 for individuals and $5,000 for families to offset the cost of insurance. Families will be able to choose the insurance provider that suits them best and the money would be sent directly to the insurance provider. Those obtaining innovative insurance that costs less than the credit can deposit the remainder in expanded Health Savings Accounts."

Why where's he going to get it from? "borrow" it from China or India or Timbukto. just like all the money we "borrowed to fund this stupid WAR. He ain't gonna tax the "poor wealthy" anymore, no way jose!

Changed what? Jen, I'm sorry, but you haven't provided any backing of what you say (either way) so I have a hard time understanding what you are saying.

In the beginning, he was talking about giving this credit, and people would be getting their own plans, and the companies would be supposedly competing for the business, and this would eliminate employer-based plans.

Also, the money your employer pays out for you with insurance will be counted as income, so, if you say make 35,000 a year, but your employer pays out anothe 10,000 for your insurance, it will be counted AS income and you will be taxed as such.

You think that the Obama plan is going to cost less than 1500 - 5000/person/family.
