I think he stands to make a LOT-O-MONEY if it ever sees the light of day like he wants it to.

Course...I have no problem with someone making money. It's not a bad idea. I just think he's gonna have a hard time convincing some.

What would you consider the draw back?

I didn't say there was one (from what I've seen). I've not looked into it much yet though...so my opinion could change I suppose.

I think his plan sounds interesting, but I agree, I am going to look into it more before making a decision.

Why do you think that it would be hard to convince people??

I think it could be hard to convince people for a multitude of reasons: 1) It's new. It may not work. Lord knows we're hesitant to try something that isn't *proven* 2) It may destroy the landscape. I mean, do YOU want big huge air turbines in YOUR back yard? 3) It may be damaging to the environment/animals. Hey, if it's not in nature, it doesn't belong there. 4) It could take some time to make any impact. After all, if it's not going to make a difference RIGHT NOW, why bother, right? And probably most importatly, 5) Pickens is an oil man. Never, EVER, trust an oil man.

All completely STUPID reasons, IMO and I think any new solution should be given a decent shot. Even if it doesn't necessarily reduce our dependence on foreign fuel for transportation purposes (the air electricity is not going to power our vehicles) it is a great alternate energy source for our homes, offices, schools, hospitals, etc.

Like I said, so far the plan looks ok to me. All I'm sayin' is...EVERY plan has those who want to fight it. I'm sure this will be no different.
