It was a democratic function. They had invited Lieberman and others and they were unable to attend. McCain thought this would be a way to increase Palin's National Security cridentials and to link her to Hillary (somehow putting them on the same stage) It appeared like a bad SNL skit! Someone needs to explain what the Democrats did to cause Palin to cancel two events in California and Florida. In total, she has cancelled over five events slated for last and this week.

Hi bela629,

McCain thought this would be a way to increase Palin's National Security cridentials and to link her to Hillary (somehow putting them on the same stage) It appeared like a bad SNL skit!

Was this strategic plan posted anywhere for reading, or announced by McCain or one of his staffers?

i'll vouch for the Ohio cancellation. no conspiracy there. we had power out all over for several days and school closures to go along with major wind damage.

thanks!

Interesting that the first one was going to be hosted by Tom and Stacey Siebel at their home in northern CA - he was the founder and CEO of Siebel Systems, a company I worked at for 5 years. I'm soooo happy I don't work for that guy anymore! LOL

Anyway, they might be realizing they've "lost" a lot of key states in the west already and don't want to invest time and energy out here since polls show Palin has not helped the campaign pick up many independents.

Well, she is spending all of her time on the campaign trail with McCain and Todd. She cannot be trusted to be alone?

So sad, really!

((One activist who is scheduled to attend the rally said that the pressure to drop Palin from the event came from Jewish Democrats among the event’s organizers. ))

I can understand why the Jewish Democrats and Hillary didn't want to invite Sarah. Really, who wants to hear her say...

"thanks but no thanks, we mavericks are ready and have the confidence to never question Israel's decision to defend itself. Because Reform is important when John McCain and I start shaking things up in Washington and ruffling feathers in the old boy's club. Should we be blessed to be elected in January, I will never blink." lol.
