It's wikipedia which I know some people don't like but it gives a non-biased explanation of what it was all about if you're interested.

Sen. John McCain was one of the infamous Keating Five that was originally investigated for "wrong-doing."

"After a lengthy investigation, the Senate Ethics Committee determined in 1991 that Alan Cranston, Dennis DeConcini, and Donald Riegle had substantially and improperly interfered with the FHLBB in its investigation of Lincoln Savings. Senators John Glenn and John McCain were cleared of having acted improperly but were criticized for having exercised "poor judgment""

I never said he was found guilty of ANYTHING. I merely said, which is truthful and completely honest, that he was one of the infamous Keating 5 that was originally INVESTIGATED for wrong doing.

I realize what you're saying - but half of telling the truth is not leaving the most important part out :-).

Honestly I just figured if anyone wanted to know more they could read the short summary on the wiki page. It's pretty short and I figured that those that don't know what the whole deal was could just read it there
