We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

I'm curious to see what kind of spin is put on this by her supporters.

I think the RNC had to buy her new clothes because she looks so much more professional.

And then there's this -

http://washingtonindependent.com/14106/politico-rnc-spent-150k-on-palin-wardrobe

The RNC has spent $150 K on Sarah Palin's wardrobe and stuff for her kids. That's ONE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND! More than a YEARLY INCOME for the majority of Americans!

This is just obscene, and it is hypocrisy when she claims to be fiscally conservative and into saving money. They also can't very well reach out to all the "Joe-the-Plumbers" with this on their budget.

RNC appears to shell out $150K for Palin fashion

"The Republican National Committee has spent more than $150,000 to clothe and accessorize vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and her family since her surprise pick by John McCain in late August."

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1008/14805.html

i don't know how to interpret this. It's Politico - probably biased. But not having the same figures on "accessories" for McCain, Obama and Biden, I can't say whether the practice is unusual or excessive for a campaign. Or whether it is sexist to complain about spending on a woman v. a man.

However, if i had donated money to the RNC i would be hot that they were putting Piper in designer duds for photo ops when the economy is tanking.

LOL at least now i know where to shop.

I'm really surprised that people haven't looked into Palin's record as Mayor of Wasilla, where she took a zero budget deficit and grew it to $22 million debt at the end of 6 years:

Yet, she claims to be fiscally conservative, like you mention.

I hadn't thought of that.

Pollitico is not a "biased" news source.

A concern I have is McCain/Palin claiming to identify with Joe the plumber and Bob the electrician, etc., when they simply cannot.
