My friend is student teaching this semester at a middle school and she just called me to tell me this story. The tech guy was in a 7th grade social studies class trying to fix the overhead projector and he made this comment to the 12 year olds:
"It's a shame that the guys who tried to assassinate Obama failed."
I don't exactly know the context in which he said it, but how is that ever thought of as appropriate? I am disgusted that anyone who have this thought, let alone say it to a classroom full of children.






I hope your friend 1) told the guy he was out of line and yes, in front of the students.
