Matt Drudge isn't the most reliable of sources. And, for the record, the McCain campaign has been accused of the same thing: http://community.post-gazette.com/blogs/earlyreturns/archive/2008/09/30/maureen-dowd-kicked-off-campaign.aspx

They're not denying the newspapers the right to cover - they're simply making room for other people on the plane. Do I like that he's surrounding himself by people who agree with him? No. But I understand it, especially at this point in the campaign.

Why is it payback? For endorsing McCain? It would be more meaningful to note who gets to stay as well as who is being ousted. If the Springfield Shopper reporter still has his seat, then I would see this retribution for McCain endorsement.

Does Fox have a fellow Obama traveller?

I just heard on the news that Obama has reporters from Fox News and The Washington Times on his plane. Doesn't that put a damper on your whole "no-conservative-journalists-allowed-on-the-plane" theory?

you do understand the difference between a news reporter and an opinion columnist, right?

Yes, I do.

Again, you do realize that you're quoting Matt Drudge, the most famous of all the conservative BLOGGERS - not exactly the Wall Street Journal.

Also, they are not throwing these reporters off the campaign entirely. If they were to make room for all of the reporters who have requested space, they would have to add a second plane. Not only would that be exceedingly expensive, can you imagine the reaction of the right-wingers? Instead, they're offering what space they DO have available:

"There are press seats available on Senator Biden's plane for travel this final weekend and The Washington Times is encouraged to include our vice presidential nominee in your coverage plans for this final stretch..."

They're from newspapers that endorsed McCain, how is this wrong?

It isn't.

Instead of always posting anti-obama posts, why not share with us McCain's redeeming qualities and superior policies?

I'm sorry that you aren't passionate about your candidate. Have you ever heard the saying "Choosing the lesser of two evils is still choosing evil"? How do you rectify that with your vote for McCain?
