? on Negative Ads....

I've noticed tonight while watching tv that there are some new negative ads on Senator Obama and his relationship with Rev. Wright, along with another on his lack of experience. At the end of the ads, where it normally says "I'm John McCain, and I approve this ad", it doesn't. It has a written disclaimer that the ad was paid for by some Republican group (sorry, I can't recall exactly who). I'm just wondering if these ads are being put out by the McCain campaign, or if some other republican organization has taken it on themselves to air them. Just curious, because I've heard several comments in the media saying that McCain should have put more emphasis on the Rev. Wright connection, but didn't. Can anyone enlighten me?

It's the local GOP in PA doing it, a last blast of slime at the 11th hour.
But still very typical of a McCain ad, the ones that never talk about himself, only Obama.
I'm in WA and I saw one of the ads earlier this evening on a satellite TV sports station. Here's some more information about who's behind the ads...

I believe the one I saw was by the Republican 527 group.

Trying to understand McCain's thinking on anything these days (I used to respect him), I think the reason he dropped the Rev. Wright thing is that Obama is a Christian who goes to church every week.
I'm in Kansas and I've seen these ads, too, which always makes me wonder:
Why the heck are they wasting money in a red-state like Kansas?
