My oldest son just found out today that he made the National Concert Choir and will be singing in Washington D.C. in March :)

As a life long choir member, I know what a huge honor the National Concert Choir is! Congrats to your son.

Another lifelong singer here, and raising a DD who is currently in 3 choirs, I'd like to add my congratulations!

You don't need to worry about Obama raising your taxes. If you make less than $250K, you will get a tax CUT. If you make more than that, you will simply go back to paying the tax rate you paid under Clinton, when rich folks were doing pretty well. (And yes, unlike McCain, I do think that people who make between $250K and $5M qualify as "rich.")

Congrats to your son. That's a wonderful honor, and will be an experience he will remember for a lifetime. Don't worry about asking Barack about your taxes. Just take lots of pictures and savor every moment.

“If, by a ‘liberal,’ they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people – their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties – someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a ‘liberal,’ then I’m proud to say I’m a ‘liberal.’”
