For those who supports equal rights for all....this is a pettion to help make our voices known. Maybe with enough support...we can all be equal. For my Canadian friends..you can sign too.....there are provinces listed as well as states. I already signed..and I urge those who support the cause of equal rights to do the same. If you do not support equal rights...please feel free to ignore this. Much love to those fighting for equal rights.

I was going to go to the rally in San Francisco tonight, but it started before DH got home from work and could watch my younger two girls.

What do you guys think will come of this? I signed the petition and am hopeful that Prop 8 ends up not passing after all the additional votes are counted, but I know that's unlikely. So, what do you think the next option is to move forward and get equal rights back for all Californians? My SO and I were talking about it last night and neither of us has very much hope in the lawsuits being filed. Also, if this ban does end up passing, that means it's a Constitutional Amendment and so the State Supreme Court will effectively have their hands tied in overturning anything, as they will have to interpret the Constitution, including this new Amendment. So what options are left? They could fight it in federal court and eventually take it to the Supreme Court, but how long would that take? The second option that we discussed was getting a measure on the 2010 ballot to repeal the Prop

Are you freaking out that your eldest daughter is almost 18 yrs old? My dd is 13 yrs old (Jun 28th) and the thought of her going away to college makes me want to cry. I had her really young (20) so we kinded grew up together and are best friends. I am going to miss her so much.

Not sure what the next option is: there's the counting of the remaining votes, there are challenges to Prop 8's validity that have been filed.
