i dont get it.

I was reading today about Obama's short term agenda and three things that came up were

1) stop plans to drill for oil in environmentally fragile areas
2) stop the ban on funding of abortion aid in other countries
3) stop ban on stem cell creation and subsequent destroying for research purposes.

WHAT??????

why is the environment and/or animals more important that unborn babies?

many times the liberal agenda is more for the rights of everything EXCEPT unborn kid, eg: baby animals, people on death row, gay rights, etc.

I am not against the rights of those i just listed, i would just include unborn children too, right?? it seems like strange priorities, or hypocritical.

I also don't know what you are referencing, but I would very much appreciate Obama accomplishing all of those things and it doesn't make me hypocritical.

Granted, I hope he works on the economy and health care, but those things are important to me, as well.

Well, I would hardly call lifting the global gag rule a horrible thing.

The reason these things are on the top of the list is not because they are more important than the economy or health care, but because the President can affect them through Executive Orders, basically signed in his first hours in office, and do not require legislation or the approval of Congress.

1) stop plans to drill for oil in environmentally fragile areas The area that was proposed was in the centre of the great lakes.

so you think it is more important to save the life of an endangered species than to save the life of a human embryo?

I think it's important to save the the planet and to restore free speech for health care providers around the earth.

I disagree with you, but I'm pretty sure
