Twiced baked, but not on the menu! *smile* kat.

1. Do you prefer a baked potato, french fries or chips?

Always baked.

2. When's the last time you rearranged the furniture in your home?

When we moved into our house in June of 2000.

3. Where was the last place you had your picture taken?

Over Thanksgiving, in the livingroom with all the family memebers assembled.

4. What favorite, special or strange memory from your childhood stands out in your mind?

Awakening on the ridge of the Grand Canyon at sunrise because dad refused to make hotel reservations, an amazing, wonderous error on dad's part.

5. Which of these weather conditions best describes your writing: scattered showers, a cold front or a heat wave?

Oddly (right now) a heat wave, but for the last six years, the ice age!

Mine...

1. Do you prefer a baked potato, french fries or chips? French Fries

2. When's the last time you rearranged the furniture in your home? July when we moved to this place.

3. Where was the last place you had your picture taken? In bed last night. I was freezing, so I had three blankets up to my nose and still my head was cold so I pulled on a toque. Someone thought that was funny.

4. What favorite, special or strange memory from your childhood stands out in your mind? Which one to mention here, hmmm, the time I lost my bathing suit when we were camping. We hung my suit on the side mirror to dry, then went for a drive and forgot about it. It must have blown off on the highway. So we retraced our route and actually found it at the bottom of someone's mailbox. Then gave it a good wash.

5. Which of these weather conditions best describes your writing: scattered showers, a cold front or a heat wave? Scattered showers.

Hi five (m)

1) French Fries

2)4 months ago to make room for a piano

3)In May, in our front yard, I had my picture taken with my three teenagers who were dressed in their prom attire.

4) When I was a child, my aunt would pay me to scratch her back and she also helped me with my first writing gig. She submitted a little story or limerick, can't remember which and they sent me a half-dollar coin.

5)Scattered showers!!

Cool memory (m)

Have you ever written about the Grand Canyon experience? I think that'd make a great essay.

My five @ five (m)

1. Do you prefer a baked potato, french fries or chips?

I’m a potato nut. I could eat them anyway imaginable but my favorite is baked.

2. When's the last time you rearranged the furniture in your home?

Earlier this month, I moved the sofa around so I could put my Christmas tree in the corner of the living room.

3. Where was the last place you had your picture taken?

A couple of months ago so I could email a picture of myself to a friend. I was enjoying all my vices: smoking a cigar and enjoying a glass of wine.

4. What favorite, special or strange memory from your childhood stands out in your mind?

One time, we were going somewhere and I was staring out the back window of the car for the longest time. My mom finally asked me what I was doing and I told her, “this line is following us?” It was the center line that divides the road.

5. Which of these weather conditions best describes your writing: scattered showers, a cold front or a heat wave?

I’d have to go with scattered showers. I never know what I’m going to end up with when I start writing.

Fri 5!!

1. Do you prefer a baked potato, french fries or chips? Well I just love potatoes, so I'd have to say all of the above, but if really pressed, french fries, since I don't cook them at home and they are such a treat (chips aren't really potatoes, you know. They are just a salt medium).

2. When's the last time you rearranged the furniture in your home? A few months ago when I decided I'd had it with people sneaking up behind me when I was on the computer. So now I'm facing out, with stuff around me like my cd's, my framed rejection letters and pix on the wall, and I love it.

3. Where was the last place you had your picture taken? Outside somewhere. Nothing very exciting, involving a private detective and a sleazy motel, for instance.

4. What favorite, special or strange memory from your childhood stands out in your mind? Once, when I was 3, my big brother and I and some other kids were standing on the edge of a pond in someone's back yard admiring the tadpoles. Amazingly enough, I fell in. I am convinced my brother pushed me in. He to this day denies knowing anything about it.

5. Which of these weather conditions best describes your writing: scattered showers, a cold front or a heat wave? I'd say the scattered showers, since that implies sunny periods in between. Occasionally I get manic heatwaves. I love those.
