Yes I do. Because when you get on the right track and see how much better you feel on some many levels, its makes you glad you made the change and you wonder why you hadn't done it sooner!
I really don't know about spirituality. In my case, yes but I don't think that it's a prerequisite to having a full life.
I do think, however, that one has to have the courage to be able to
Evolve, grow up, get over it, mature? Definetly!
How are you??
I guess I was working with a broad definition of change, and including your terms....thanks for keeping me precise!!!
Your siggie is GORGEOUS!!!
Thanks for participating, I agree...spiritual wellbeing is empowering
When I first got sober, I was doing things that I had always tried to do and could not do, like not drinking, staying out of old places, staying with people who thought and acted the way I wanted to think and act.
LOL. I've just never believed that people really "change". I'm still the same person but I have evolved, matured......etc.
BTW, moderation is going very well for me. I had one bad drunk on our anniversary (I think for me it's necessary once in a while to keep me focused on the greater goal and remind me how bad being drunk is). Although I still drink daily, I rarely go over 2 drinks. And the thought of drinking to get drunk is absolutely sickening to me.
