Hey girl - You give so freely and I know it is good for your sobriety. The is awesome... My own situation is different because I am not doing enough - between working full time, grad school, etc. I am feeling stretched very thin.
My sponsor tells me it is all about balance - service work, work - life. When one end of the scale is tipped to far I get off kilter. One of the reasons I made myself stop by here today is that I consider this part of my service work. I haven't been here much since I moved and I need to reaffirm this commitment.
You will find that balance too. Maybe there is another thing you could do in the community that would help you to stay centered - a women's shelter? Or a literacy project? I could sure use your help in my 7th grade classroom! I have more kids this year than ever before and feel frustrated at times because I can't take the time I used to with the particularly needy ones...
Anyway - balance...
Love you!

What about being on call for a hotline, or being a contact person for people facing/recovering from transplants?

HI Brenda,

It's really great to see and hear that your up and around and so full of energy in service. Just a bundle of joy and life, that's our Brenda. My only suggestion is to take some for yourself, once in awhile. Kick back and entertain yourself. Do whatever you enjoy. Just take time to "smell the roses." We all need some downtime now and again.
Are we going to be able to hook in Florida sometime in February? I assume Kathy Carter hasn't sold her "MERMAIDS LANDING" at Cedar Key because she hasn't returned my deposit.
Thanks for sharing my friend.

Love in recovery,

Paul
