1) Which ocean is your favorite and how often do you visit it?

2) What is one thing in your house that needs to be thrown out?

3) Would you ever spend the night in a cemetery?

4) At a party, would you be alone in the corner, dancing on the table or cleaning up the kitchen?

5) This week Patty (Mediamom) gave us some excellent writer quotes, do you have one you'd like to share?

I've searched all over the Internet (m)

for your favorite quote and had no luck. I feel like that guy from the tv commercial who surfed the Internet until the end-LOL. I think I looked at every "Quotes" websites and couldn't find it.

Mac, someone told me once (m)

who that quote was from, and it was not a name I recognized, so I promptly forgot it. Thanks for the legwork. Next time it's identified I'll find out something about the author (and whether he ever made it to the paying ranks!)

That could be, er, freaky...

You just know that King has a wild imagination. Brings new heights to the question: "Did you hear that?" :)

My turn...

1) Which ocean is your favorite and how often do you visit it?

Pacific. Grew up on it. Jog by it once a week at least.

2) What is one thing in your house that needs to be thrown out?

Well in my Dad's house we could start with my homemade crib and dusty crib mattress...

3) Would you ever spend the night in a cemetery?

I doubt it. I don't even like walking on the grass in a cemetery because I don't want to walk on people. I side-step between head stones to be safe. I prefer to walk on the paths or the roads in a cemetery.

4) At a party, would you be alone in the corner, dancing on the table or cleaning up the kitchen?

You wouldn't find me at a party... If I had to be there, I'd be playing games or doing crafts with the kid(s). If no kids, then I would be chatting one-on-one.

5) This week Patty (Mediamom) gave us some excellent writer quotes, do you have one you'd like to share?

Sure. This is from Maeve Binchy: "If you start trying to pretend that you're writing like somebody else...that's where you'll fall down. If you just write as you talk to yourself, then I think that almost everybody does have a story to tell and it will escape if you let it."

See? I'm not mad when I talk to myself.

- Er, what's that?

- You be quiet.

But the question is (m)

do you argue with yourself? I used to, especially when shopping. I'd want to blue and she'd want the one in red so we'd settle on green. Urghhh...

Thanks for the quote. I got Tara Road for Christmas but haven't started it yet. She sounds like my kind of writer!!!
