SUNDAY'S SURPRISE: Open The Envelope (m)
Although we're short story writers, this week let's "open the envelope" and try out hands at screenplay writing. Write the opening scene to your movie. Things to consider might be 1) What music is playing; 2) Where the scene takes place; 3) Is it daytime or at night; 4) Who’s in the scene; 5) What angle or POV is the camera using. Once you’ve got that add a little dialogue. The following link has lots of movie scripts so you can see what the format looks like:

The theme is up to you but please limit your scene to 1,000 words or less. Have fun,
Mac

Thanks, Wendy (m)
You know what's funny is that I didn't even think about that. But you're right that does say something about that nut driving the car! LOL
As always, I appreciate your feedback.

Definately A Script For James Dean! (m)
But since that isn't likely, what about Sean Penn?
I Love Your Descriptions...
especially the yummy guy's cologne teasing her nostrils. It's lines like that that make me wish I was single.
What A Character...
lithe, yet big breasted, clever, strong, and a caustic wit. Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful character.
Great Job Jade! (m)
I don't know anything about screen writing, but this sure looked good to me. I enjoyed it.
Thanks Mac (m)
I really appreciate you giving me the opportunity to try something new. I studied a few screen plays (at the link you provided) before I attempted it.
By the way, glad you liked the cop's name but I was spent more time coming up with a name for the dead reporter: Lee Madden. (She made everyone mad).
Thank you so much for your nice comments.

How Much Do I Owe You...
You made my day Kat!

I'm Humbled...
Thank you Jade! I may very well do something with this but it likely will be in short story form. I don't know enough about screenwriting to do anymore than what I did for this exercise.
Again, thank you very much for your encouragement.

What A Nice Compliment...
I can't think of four words a writer would prefer to hear than "you caught my attention."
Thank you soooo much.

You Are Too Kind...
I love suspense and to think I wrote something you think is suspenseful and intriguing thrills me.
Thank you very much.
