Catch Anyone?...(m)
Catch-up, that is. I'm playing catchup with the posts on this board. I'm sorry that I'm so far behind, but life got in the way. LOL. If I missed anyone, please let me know. I'll try to get to it before next month gets here. Sammi

Hi, Mac...(m)
I read your Sunday Surprise and was impressed with your format. I found your action very vivid, and could hear 'Tequila!' in the background. (Yes, I can remember this song without going to Amazon. That definitely dates me.) Kyle kinda seems like a jerk. What are your plans for this? Sammi
Hey, Maria!...(m)
Talk to me woman! Where exactly is Laura? You got me hooked with this. I found your desriptions very vivid, especially the blonde hunk. Yummy, indeed. What are your plans for this? Sammi

Kat, I read your Sunday Surprise and found it very funny. I can see McKay on the ground with the hulking King on top of her very vividly. And Darrel coming a few seconds too late. Find a new partner indeed!

Post # 18, Nancy Sinatra...Her Carriage
Kat, I found this very funny. The narrator definitely has a sense of humor, especially about herself. Is this supposed to be like a memoir? What if, you tried writing this with more of the 'show, don't tell' technique? How would this piece change, for the better or for the worse? Just a suggestion for you to think on.
Post # 29, Daughter of the Wood
I'll have to get back with you on this one, I only read it once through. I usually read the longer pieces at least twice before offering an honest critique, which I believe was the level you requested. I like it so far, very good desriptions. have a good weekend. Sammi

I read your Sunday Surprise and found your descriptions very vivid. I can see Jess standing there, with her skirt blowing in the breeze. And you definitely got me hooked with Mitch. So, what are your plans for this? Sammi
Hi Ya, Patty! ...(m)
Murder mystery, huh? Well. You got me hooked. So who killed Lee Madden? Will you tell us, or do we have to wonder? LOL. Sammi
Heh, heh, Indeed El...(m)
Wow, I found your desriptions for the Sunday Surprise very vivid. I could see the interior of the train car and the mountains off in the background very well. Your ending with the guards and their comment, "Nice buns," was a nice touch. And the guards turning out to be woman was classic. So what are your plans for this? Sammi
Hey, Eyewrite...(m)
I read your Sunday Surprise and found your desriptions very well written. I can see Floyd sitting there in his baggy pants and his fixed glare at his two hundred dollar shoes that weren't tied. And Gail is a very typical mother, whether she's foster or not. But your ending sure was a surprise. I wasn't expecting that at all. Good job. Sammi
Thanks, Sammi (m)
I'm not sure yet. I plan to one day concentrate on writing screenplays so maybe I'll put this one in my idea box.
Appreciate your comments!
Mac
Hey, Sammi...
Thank you for your comments. This was my first try at something new, the screenplay idea. I've been watching more movies lately and I think I've picked up a little bit of how they do things. And I've watched DVDs with the Director Commentary and learned so much about how movies are made. They like to talk about their challenges and how they overcame them.
I watched a screenwriter interviewed and he said that you have a better chance of getting a book published than getting a screenplay picked up. Sigh.
Hope you're having a good weekend, Eyewrite
Hi Sammi, don't you hate it when real life intrudes? (m)
hope you're doing ok, and thanks for taking a look at my story.
