Sounds good, Kat...
I see that the Ashland Workshop is in early November this year (http://www.floweringmountain.com/). Have you ever been?

I have never been, but...
I've talked to others who say it is terrific, or has been in the past. Ashland is a wonderful little community; they also host a Shakespeare Festival. When I lived in Portland, I wanted to make it down, but never got around to it. My son was playing year-round triple A ice hockey, and that ate all the extra funds, and time. But now...there are possibilities. If I decide to go, I will let you know. Who knows, we could meet there and spur each other on...

Taste
I forgot to explain why I selected taste, rather than smell.
Consider this scenario:
Your house is on fire, but you're upstairs so you can't see the smoke in your kitchen and your smoke alarm doesn't work (you forgot to replace the batteries or whatever.) If you still have your sense of smell, you could probably smell the smoke. I can see where your sense of smell could save lives.
So, take my sense of taste. I need to lose weight anyway.
I'm with you, chelle. Smell can go!!! (nt)
Is anybody else invited??? hint. hint. (nt)
I like your answer to #5!!! (nt)
ROFL....I'm curious, kat (m)
In your answer to #5, what do you shoot it with? You are so funny. I always love your answers!!!

1) If you had to give up one of your senses, which one would it be?
Taste. I love the smell of fresh flowers. Other than that smell could go, but Patty makes a good point about being able to smell could save your life. So maybe I should keep my ability to smell.
2) Are you “stubborn as a mule”, “crazy as a loon” or “slippery as an eel”?
Crazy as a loon, for sure!!!
3) What writing instrument do you use the most?
I use a pen, except for when I’m balancing my checkbook, which is always in pencil because if you make a mistake you have to use a ton of white-out fixing it. However, when I’m writing, I use the keyboard.
4) When’s the last time you bought a plant for your home or office?
I bought a couple of plants for my kitchen, which is the only room in my house that gets a lot of indirect sunlight. I have lots of plants in there.
5) How do you handle a problematic character or scene in your story?
I have an unusual, non-scientific method called “asking the Magic 8 Ball”. Whenever, I have a situation or character troubling me, I ask if I should cut it. Nine out of ten times, I get an answer that helps me resolve the problem. $5 investment that may or may not work but it’s fun!!! LOL
