Happy birthday to you!
My baby was 11 yesterday. We had a fun afternoon but all the excitement caught up with her today. She got 3 wonderful gifts (grandparents and us). 2 of them are fur real friends. Animal baby toys that look like the real thing. She is in LOVE. We went out for Lunch and chuck E. Cheese just her and I. Then I made her a special doggie cake and her favorite dinner (raviolli).
She is growing up way to fast, (sniff, sniff)

Singing in gaelic in honor of Cáitlín's name
Lá bretha hana dhuit
Lá bretha hana dhuit
Lá bretha hana, a Cháitlín
Lá bretha hana dhuit
(I think I'm spelling this wrong, but ya'll don't know the difference anyway)
Wow. ELEVEN! Why, just five minutes ago, she was nine...

Woo Hoo! Go Cait!!!! Did you say eleven? I bet she's taller then me! 5'2".
OK, Siobhan sounds like Shavon, so I will not try to learn Happy Birthday in Gaelic, as there would be no telling what I would actually be singing!!! Tee Hee
LOL Sio! I won't try either but I will have her read it.
And she is 5'4", so yeah taller than ya. Womens size 2 or 3. 110lbs. Also getting quite curvy too. It isn't right to be jealous of your own child, waaaaaa. Now all boys go away!
Renee
Your right, far as I know it was perfect spelling and perfect pronounciation.
Cait loved it and I showed it to her.
Renee
Well, I've seen pictures and Cait is VERY good looking! Like her Mom!
That birthday song is so cool! I think I'll send it to my Mom on her birthday, too. She will love it. I am going to give her a book on Irish history. Did you know that one of the biggest abstinence movements in world history was started by a priest in Ireland? This guy got thousands of Irish to pledge not to drink for life. Mom does not drink, so she will be very interested in this book. Dad will be interested in borrowing it, but more from an interest in the history aspect. Best of all, my friend wrote it, so I'll get a signed copy!!! (This is the UK Amazon link because the US Amazon link does not have a synopses of the book, for some reason) http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0716527375/qid=1115292836/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_8_2/202-0659977-8447824

Dear Renee,
Happy Happy Birthday to your lovely daughter!!!!!!!
Malcolm was introduced to Chuck 'E' Cheese by his paternal grandmother on his 7th birthday last year and he is in LOVE with the place. So we use Chuck 'E' Cheese as motivation to master his goals and earn trips. Great tool. (But then I have to go with him, SO overstimulating AAAUUUUUGGGGHHHH .... 'cuz his dad, who also loves the bloomin' place, works weekends, the only time we have free from afterschool and therapies to actually go there. Sigh.)
yours,
Sara

Sarah,
I don't know if it is the same in NYC but if you ever can, take him during a school day if he has one off no one else does for some reason. It is so quiet and fun then. I take the kids out of school for a 1/2 day for thier b-days. I took Mike there on his and it was so quiet we actually had fun. He gets overstimmed too easy and loved it this way at his own pace. I did the same with Dave at boomers. So much better.
