Our therapist knows the class Cait is going into next year and LOVES the teacher. However, she also knows some of the boys in the class, lol. Cait is going to be in a class with 12 AS middle school boys and no other girls. Well, I guess one of the boys is girl crazy and harmless. However, because of his lack of social skills he tends to come across like a stalker! Poor guy!
So I am wondering, Cait in a class of 12 boys who are AS with hormones. Is this a good or bad thing.
Well the bad is obvious, but I started to think....hmmm....First, they are AS which likely means they are nieve and not to fond of being touched. Next to gay guys probably the safest there are. Second, none of them will be able to likely get dates with NT girls easily, and third, Cait will be the only girl around that they would feel safe enough to ask to dances and such.
I think my girlie is going to have more offers for Dates than she will know what to do with!!!! LOLOL I just have to make sure to get in good with the other parents and make sure one of us is at ALL the dances to keep and eye on them. Geek Love!

OOhhhh....you're too funny, Renee!! This might be great experience for Cait too! And I'm sure she's going to enjoy being the only girl...there can be lots of advantages!!!

I was going to tell you that the 1 girl in Jake AS class was after him at the beginning of the year. AND she was 14. She would call her every night until one day Jake, who loves to give hugs tried to hug her. She freaked out....that was the end of that!
Cait will love her program. I think it helped Jake see that there were other people out there like him and they all understand each other. And the social skill training is great.

Renee,
That is so funny! What a great social opportunity for Cait. She is a "looker" too (IMHO). I saw her pic on the hippotherapy site. Cute girl! Maybe, she will motivate some of those AS guys to develop better social skills.
