Hi everyone!
Well, I think my oldest is in need of more attention, or something. The child is CALLING ME FROM SCHOOL!!! Tyler is only in 2nd grade....and apparently has access to the phone! I can't blame the teacher though, Tyler is very mature for his age and is very good at being sincere....just like his dad...little sweet talker!! He calls me because...he forgot the name of a book he read (that he needs to take a test on that day), he calls because he needs his allergy meds, he calls because his PANTS RIPPED!!! Ok...that did it!! I brought him another pair of pants (40 MIN BEFORE SCHOOL WAS OUT!!---HE COULDN'T WAIT---HUGE HOLE!!) I get to his school, he goes into the bathroom to change, he brings out the pants. IT WAS THE TINIEST HOLE....EVER!!!!!!!
I had to wait there for 20min til school let out. There was no reason for me to leave and then come right back to pick him up. Thank heavens his dad was home that day, and was able to watch Nathan....because there's NO WAY Nathan would've sat there for that long WAITING for his brother!!!!
So I had a talk with him. He misses me. WHAT?????? I'm home everyday. I'm with him all the time...except when he's at school. What is he talking about!? I have no idea what's going on with him. We talk all the time, cuddle all the time, play around all the time, I help him with homework....he even lays his head in my lap when he reads!! He is always with me!!!!!!!! I know that dh was always with his mom too, when he was little....could not get him away from her(then he met me! LOL) I know that Tyler is just like his dad...but GEESH!!! Now I can't get Tyler or his dad off of me!!!!
Michelle

Wow, Michelle. That is so cute. I have a couple of cuddly guys too, but our 2nd isn't due for a few more mos, so Cassian has no competition. Do you ever do mother-son outings with Tyler? Maybe if he had a regularly occuring special time when he could count on your undivided attention, he would be more satisfied. I think some kids just have a greater need for together time with Mom and/or Dad. We are lucky in a way. I supposed we will miss these times 10 or 20 years from now when they are off with friends or girlfriends;)
Suzi
Suzi,
I'm not looking forward to him growing up!!! Since he is just like his dad, I'll be HISTORY once he gets a girlfriend!! LOL He'll have someone else to cuddle up too!! sniff sniff
Once ESY starts for Nathan, I'll have some one-on-one time with Tyler...so I'm hoping that helps. It's funny though, because he always wants my attention when I can't give it....but when I'm just sitting there, or not doing anything, he's too busy doing something. He only wants it on his terms. Boy! Does that sound like a man to you???
Michelle
oh! Michelle! that's so sweet! ok, annoying but sweet since I don't have to deal w/ it! It won't be long and he won'd want to be so close to you-- my 13 yr old is much too old to love up to me anymore-- though he still likes me to tussle his hair and give him bed time kisses. no more hugs or kisses any other time though. He will still hug the little ones (Martha 5 & Owen 3)and put his arm on my shoulder but that's as far as the physical acts of affection go these days. As long as he doesn't give any physical affection to any girls for another 20 yrs or so (ok maybe 4-5) I'll be happy.

LMAO!
That sounds like my 2nd grade boy!
I could literally give him all my attention 24/7 and it still wouldn't be enough!
It gets very frustrating sometimes because I do give him tons of one-on-one attention, and do fun things with him just the two of us, and yet he still isn't satisfied!
