I think this is a beautiful poem too. Those moments of connection with our kids our so special and so fleeting, like rainbows.
Ironically, yesterday Eric saw a rainbow for maybe the second time in his life. This one was special because it was double. He was so excited, "it's sooooo beautiful!!" he said. We had to look for more again today after our daily afternoon thundershower.
For me rainbows have always had a bittersweet meaning. For some reason, I have always associated them with the little ones I lost through miscarriage, they went "over the rainbow" away from me. Then we adopted Eric and he really likes rainbows and now its meaning is enhanced for me on so many levels.
I think it is beautiful :)

...and a rainbow is a spectrum, as is life.
