Is this strange?

First wanted to update about Jake and Tss. As with every kind of services to do with autism there is a waiting list and he probably won't qualify because he really dosen't have many aggressive or bad behaviors. This may seem like an odd question but do any of your kids have weird things they do when they are sleepy or trying to calm down. Jake has rubbed his eyelashes(believe me it is very strange to see) since he was about 11 months old. Recently he had started to turn his eyelids inside out but I soon put a stop to that!I know my sister and her daughter both rub their hair when tired. I guess my question is should I stop him from doing this?

I might try to redirect the eye lid thing just because it seems like he might hurt himself. But otherwise I don't see any problem with self calming behaviours.

I'm not sure if my son is PDD or not, but I suspect it. So with that said - my son, (Jake too), always floats his one hand in the air when he's tired and trying to fall asleep. It's kind of like his hand is in an air current - like when you were younger and would stick your hand out the window of a car and float it.... but a smooth, slower motion. He also pats his blankies. If touching his lashes isn't hurting him, (like pulling them out, or anything) I'd say let him go. It's his way of soothing himself, I guess. Just my two cents.
