Well, salvaged OT crisis

Well, as sad as I was that the excellent OT clinic I had hoped for Liam to start at is closing, I think I found a decent enough second choice.

I think for reading you should check out 2 things. Lindamood-Bell and also perhaps have his vision looked at. Not acuity perse but developmental vision as in convergence, tracking, vision therapy, etc. Both may be covered by the schools since he is on an IEP.
The OT sounds like a good option for now, particularly if you are comfortable with them. Might be good to undo the Friday Freakies (I like that word, can I use it?). Mike often has a case of the Friday Freakies because they usually have "fun Fridays" which means a change in schedule, envoronment and more sensory overload. This is the day they have library, computer, social skills group, etc. The teacher used to rearrange the room to a more social round kind of lay out but she stopped doing that last year. Said the change was freaking out her ASD kids (ie Mike and 1 other kid).

That is the program this clinic uses, so that's good to hear.
oh McD's playland. I have nightmares just thinking about those places when they are crowded.
Fortunately McD's is not on our "diet" anymore, lol. But parks still give me great anxiety. If we go an there are any children Mike's age I have monster anxiety until we leave. If there are small children I just point them out and how young they are and Mike makes a great big playmate. He is really sweet with little kids, but same age peers. OY!
Then again he nearly beat the tar out of a 6yo who kicked him by accident a couple weeks ago (1 week post surgery and the kid kicked him in the stomach so he freaked)

Yes Liam is also incredible wonderful with little kids.
