Ds & dd are really protesting cold lunch. I can't believe they like the hot lunch. Its totally nasty. Ds didn't eat a single bite of his lunch today, not a single bite. Now that we are home he of course wants an SCD brownie. I said no, eat your lunch. DD wanted chips, the last of the illegal SCD foods in the house. I said no eat your sandwhich from lunch. She at least took one bite of hers. They both think I'm sooo mean. I can't tell you how many doors have been slammed in the last 15 mins. We are supposed to be driving to the chiropractor (45 mins away) and after getting dd a flower girl dress. I guess we'll have to scrap the dress shopping. It was going to be a nightmare on a good day. I'd be insane to try it now.
Thanks for the vent.
Samantha
PS if the hunger strike continues I'm going to look at it as a good thing. Ds is overweight and that can't help socially in middle school, now can it.

UGH! Sorry. I hate when they get really rigid over things like lunch. Then if they don't eat they come home in ultra nasty mood and are impossible.
HUGS
Hope it is better now.

I suspect you will have a bit of a drawn-out battle on your hands. I can't remember if the kids have aides or anyone 'on the inside" who can enlist to help you out (I make it sound like you're trying to smuggle a file in!).
Is there somewhere they can eat away from the hot lunches? Maybe if the can sit outside away from smells and whatnot it might help.

Yuk, Samantha! Don't you hate it when things that shouldn't even be battles ruin an entire day???
Is it possible that it's consider "cool" to eat hot lunch? In my world, hot lunch was what the dorks ate, but that's been so long ago it could certainly be the reverse nowadays! ;-P
Good luck with this one. It's not an easy fix, that's for sure.
