ok, HELPPPPPPPPP

Cait joined band and they are finally playing their instruments. So it is homework time and I had to sit and vent this but here is a snap shot of life right now......Squeaky Mary Had a Little Lamb going RIGHT UP MY SPINE! while Mike is perseverating on how 2 to the 8th power CAN't be what I figured out on the calculator. It must be 64. Over and over. He won't skip the problem, he won't write his answer, he wont write mine and the squeaks go on.......

Thought I would share.

Have you ever heard a clarinet when it is first being learned? It has this god awful squeak that can wake the dead.

Mary had a *SQUEAK* lamb. Ok I am getting punchy, bad day I was just going to share about and you gotta laugh or you would cry.

the clarinet is the worst squeeky thing when they're learning! I hope it gets better soon! is there an outdoor area she could practice in when it's nice?

Kivrin is obsessed with violins and wants to learn to play one. I just don't have the strength to start lessons with a 4 year old though, so that has to wait. I'm dreading the learning process so much that now when I see a violin, or a picture of a violin I don't associate beautiful music, I associate the coming screaching and crying and frustation and yelling and migraines. I've decided that I will need it to be a happy process for her though so when she's ready we'll both take up an instrument at the same time and practice at the same time. I've always wanted to learn to play the cello anyway. lol. Some days secondary infertility seems like a kind of blessing in disguise.

I can soooo feel your pain!! In our school system, the kids all have to have 3 yrs of band!!! So I have had to put up with the flute, the baritone and a sax. I had the sax and the baritone for a year together and that was just awful!!

I recommend getting a cd player with some good earphones! For yourself if you can do it. I'm glad we were done that before Joey came along because he wouldn't handle the noise very well!!
